WHAT PROGRESS HAS THE MAASAI MISSION MADE TO DATE?

Update The maasai warrior has made it possible for the Maasai women to be able to sell their bead products through the Monkey biz which promotes indigenous cultures in supporting themselves and up lifting their lives. They will now be able to support the rescued girls from early marriages while supporting their own families. www.monkeybiz.co.za Has Been able to participate in forums and bring to light the problems facing the people and managed to gain support all over the world. Has held an exhibition to bring to light the position and needs of the minority people. Has been able to raise awareness by attracting the interest of the international media and activists who are keen on offering and engaging in activities to help. Has been able to hold discussions with political party leaders, NGO's and business people who will be instrumental in supporting and making the government re access it's stand at the grassroots level. ------------------- The Mission has relied entirely on faith and the goodwill of supporters. Starting with no funds it has succeeded in engaging the medias interest, as well as establishing base in Cape Town, the Strand and in Knysna. We have been offering teachings to schools on the maasai people's traditional ways of life and thus creating the interest of them knowin their own cultures and the importance of preserving that. The Maasai have managed to get exposure through different documentaries and other media programmes. Food, accommodation and our communications resources are never guaranteed, but the universe never fails to provide what we need when we truly need it. The hosting and development of this Website is sponsored by JGH Internet, content is maintained from an office kindly on loan to us from Aristos Marketing in Cape Town. In the Strand, the Green Gables Guest House has taken us in like sons, and we have use of office facilities there. In Knysna, Mrs. Susan Manual in the Hornley township is allowing us to complete a half-finished house in her garden which we can sleep in, and potentially use as an office in future. In harmanus the laluna pizza pasta have offered accommodation and conference hall to be used whenever we are there.
