Consciousness Lost - Horizons Missing

The centre of the world is everywhere
Everything is sacred
When will we, the human nation, realize
Truly realize that we are killing ourselves
No longer slowly, but excruciatingly surely
With fast increasing pace

Killing our universe
With vast conscious and unconscious intent
From the smallest ant to the dying forests
Blatantly evident in the crushing power
Of the vast icy glaciers tumbling into the sea
Animals and creatures of the land, sea and air, people even
And we just don't care, do we?
Or perhaps we care for at least a minute or two,
Then back to our burgers and TV we blithely prance

Never forget the holocaust of the Second World War
Yet going back in history,
Many similar genocides the have wreaked havoc throughout our world
And what of the Tutsi in Rwanda - yesterday's news
And before that, the "Belgian Congo" refugee fiasco,
Palestine, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Yugoslavia, Darfur,
Somalia, Sarajevo, Tibet, Zimbabwe - who cares?
The list is endless

And what of the world's many minorities?
Close to my heart - the Bushmen
Whose culture of wisdom is fast being lost for eternity
And the proud dignified Maasai, quietly, oh so quietly
Being decimated - bastardized
Their traditional land spaces and culture thrown to the winds

Global warming? - It is only a pinprick in the ocean of life
Amend to GLOBAL WARNING
There is so much more that needs our attention
Needs our caring and deep understanding
Needs our unconditional love
And perhaps in the sands of time
We will truly be and experience our oneness with all

Barriers

We are all one
Or are we?
Who created these barriers?
These multiple barriers
Of country, race, religion?

They stretch through this unique universe
The space we have been given
They separate, divide, crush
The hate, the fear, the great need for domination
Wells up through the springs of humanity

Where is the love?
Where is the reaching out?
Where are the smiles, the welcomes?
They are almost buried
Beneath the cesspool of the centuries

They timidly peep out,
Surface ….. grow,
Yet we relentlessly
March over them
Grab, divide, destroy

Is there hope
For this human race of ours
Waiting to burst forth into full bloom?
Is there hope
Submerged within those hatred jungles?
Is there hope?

It will take great courage
To destroy these artificial separations
To sweep
Through the prejudice of the ages
To smash
To smithereens
Every last vestige of fear and antagonism

And leave the space
For us to move forward
Forever forward in unity
Towards the Infinite
Enduring wisdom of the Absolute

Towards those quiet spaces
Of inner peace
That patiently wait
On the wings of this vast stage
Wait patiently ….. wait patiently .... wait ......

Destiny’s Call

To be illumined within destiny’s web
Is to cast your will to the winds on high
‘Tis no matter
What each morn doth bring to life’s table
A journey of the heart
Brings joy to the soul
And ‘tis joy to the soul
That truly sets the universe
On her path to peace.

The time is nigh
Destiny beckons
With arms outstretched does she call
To dance to her tune
Is the only way to serve my soul well

Trust be my companion
In the quickening of time
To cut free the invisible shackles
With the sword of light
Is to drift unfettered
Both day and nite
Through starry landscapes
Of ground uncharted

To reach the inner bliss of knowing
And living my soul’s destiny
Is the eternal quest

THE CRUCIBLE

Twisted torn battered
Souls of the universe unite
The scattered heritage seeks release
Seeks her way home
Where the winds fly free
The birds soar high
The beasts in the field run unfettered
And peace resounds in the hearts of all

The Messenger

The tortured soul struggles to emerge
Struggles to find the light of day
In the dark of night
This dark night of the soul
Resides within all
Yet this path of destiny lies forlorn
Forsaken ….. Chosen by few

Deep in the heartbeat of Africa
Shines the light
Glowing within the ancient soul
Chosen to lead the way
Chosen to light the lamp of consciousness
For all mankind

The messenger is he
Shining for all to see
Emerging triumphant
Through adversity will he not falter
Until peace resounds in the hearts of all

Miyere

Miyere, you call to me
From mountaintops do you cry
Within jungles verdant your deep sorrow I feel

Fear Not ….. release is nigh
Through dark nights do you slumber
Whilst crickets their cries to nocturnal skies furl

Miyere, you reach within my soul
Your journey seethes within ancient secret places
Whilst this world of leisure and passion rolls yet on

To the nite skies do you speak of journeys yet to come
You are in a space of nowhere
Yet everywhere does your voice resound within my being

Miyere, you will rise yet again to the mighty resounding roar of Africa
We are waiting for your wisdom deep
The world will delight in your words
Words rolling to the depths of all humanity
Within your human form

Miyere, your time has com
e To seek the way less trodden your destiny
Those whose path you cross will heed your call ….. feel your plight
And within natures sweet bower will you once again rest
With joy unsurpassed
